“How did you do it?”
For this image above I had to recreate Mr.oneeye’s eye. It was pretty simple. I first duplicated the layer. Next I used the Elliptical Marquee tool to outline the right eye. Then I feathered the eye at 1 pixel. I copyed then pasted it. Finally I adjusted the using the free tranform rotating it to a good position to give the illusion of a real eye.

1) Will a 300 dpi image or a 72 dpi image be clearer when printed out at the same size? How come?
A 300 dpi image would be more clearer than a 72 dpi image when printed out the same size because of the more dots used in the 300 dpi picture. Since there were more dots used the clearer and more detailed the picture came out to be. As for the 72 dpi image the picture is still clear but not as clear as the 300 dpi image, because of the less dots used. It would not be sufficient enough for an artwork type picture.
2) What would a picture created at 1 dpi look like?
A picture at 1 dpi would come out really blurry and unclear due to the amounts of dots used to make the picture more detailed. The less dots used the more undetailed the picture comes out to be, and in this cause it was 1 dpi making the image or picture really unclear.!

1. What combination of tools did you use to isolate the fruit in “fruit_combo.jpg” and where in the image did you use which tool?
The Combination of tools that I used to isolate the fruit bowl in “fruit_combo.jpg” is the magnetic lasso and earser. First I isolated the fruitbowl by using the magnetic lasso, outlineing the bowl and later dragging it on a new page. Then I earsed the outline of the bowl to make it more effecient.
2. Of the methods you used to isolate the fruit in the 3 pictures. Which method did you find most effective in this case?
From all the methods I used. I found that the magnetic lasso was the most effective in this case to avoid outlining little detailed parts of the picture. This tool easily does it for you with a click and a drag.
3. Experiment with the following:
After you make a selection in the menu and go to
a) Select > Modify > Expand
b) Select > Modify > Contract
c) Select > Feather
What do these do? Post a fourth image indicating that you know what feathering does.
A) The Expand Tool lets you expand the selected pixels in your picture.
B)The Contract tool allows you to contract(make smaller) the selected pixels in your picture.
C)The Feather Tool softens the edges of the selected picture and gives off a glow. This helps picture with hard/rough edges and can esily change up a look.
